Initiated Innovation is an innovation approach that is initiated by ideas or concepts that are introduced to an organization. This may be as simple as a suggestion in the suggestion box, or part of a drive to generate new ideas for improving the organization.
Each segment of the approach contains a number of steps which when followed enable an organization to benefit from a continuous stream of Innovation Elements.
I will discuss each of the steps in more detail after I have introduced Responsive Innovation and Directed Innovation. The next section will introduce Responsive Innovation and the difference between it and Initiated Innovation.
